Supermacs Owner Says He Does Not Intend To Compete With Other Ennis Businesses As Planning Permission Sought

Supermacs’ owner Pat McDonagh says his planned new motorway services station near Ennis is not looking to compete with businesses in the town centre.

The plan would see a 10 million euro service station built on the Limerick to Galway motorway.

A plaza was originally given permission by Clare County Council at the site, but was blocked by An Bord Pleanála back in 2016.

Pat McDonagh spoke with Clare FM’s Josh Prenderville about the development.
