October may have been a wet and cold month, but it was also the sunniest on record here in Clare.
Met Eireann has revealed that it registered 121 hours of sunshine at its Shannon Airport weather station last month, which a third more than is usually the case.
It’s also the highest figure reported there in the 75 years in which records where kepy.
