The Clare chair of the Beef Plan Group says suckler farmers are facing ‘Armaggedon’ in terms of making ends meet.
Serious concern is being expressed among farming groups about the impact of Brexit and climate change on the price of beef.
This in turn is leading to lower income for beef farmers, which led to the establishment of the Beef Plan Group late last year which aims to save the sector and increase farmers’ profits.
