Clare FM’s James Mulhall has been speaking to pupils, parents and teachers around the county:

The nerves were in overload at schools in the Banner this morning as the stacks of envelopes arrived on principals desks.

Principal of St Michael’s Community College in Kilmihil Helena Keane is urging those totting up their points not to panic if they feel they’re slightly under what they expected.

Meanwhile, 27 Adult Learners throughout Co. Clare are also receiving their Leaving Certificate Results today.

The Back To Education Initiative delivered Leaving Cert classes in Ennis, Shannon and Scariff with the students coming together in the county town in June to sit their exams.

Students ranged in age from 19 to their 70s and studied one or more subjects in English, Maths, Geography, History and Business Organisation.
