Space Man Chris Hadfield Lands Into Shannon Airport For Charity Gig

Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield may have seen Ireland from space – but tonight, he’ll see one of Clare’s hidden gems.

He has landed into Shannon Airport to play at a charity event this weekend for Ghana Medical Health, a Limerick-based organisation set up by his niece.

Aside from orbiting the Earth for five months, Commander Hadfield is also known for his musical talents – his cover of David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’ has almost 40 million views.
