There’s been a slight dip in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital today.

The latest figures from the INMO show 47 patients were left waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 29 of those in the emergency department.

The Dooradoyle facility is the second busiest nationwide today, with only Cork University Hospital experiencing worse overcrowding.
