Slight Dip In Overcrowding At UHL

There’s been a slight dip in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital – but it still remains high.

According to the INMO, 58 patients were awaiting a bed at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 43 of those in the new emergency department.

It marks a slight decrease from yesterday’s figure of 61 but the Dooradoyle facility remains the most overcrowded in the country with 20 more patients without a bed than the next busiest.
