Six US police officers have been shot in one night in the states of Florida and Pennsylvania.
One died as he and his partner checked on drug activity in the central Florida city of Kissimmee.
Further north in Jacksonville two were shot by a man with a high-powered rifle after responding to an attempted suicide.
