Significant Quantity Of Drugs Uncovered In Six Searches Across Clare

Gardaí say a significant quantity of drugs has been seized following six drugs detection across Clare.

Gardaí carried out searches in Killaloe, Ennis, Shannon and Kilrush from Sunday last until yesterday, and uncovered cannabis, Xanax and ecstasy tablets, heroin and cocaine.

The value of the heroin and cocaine seized in the Kilrush area alone was worth an estimated 26,000 euro.

One person was arrested and detained at Kilrush Garda Station but has since been released without charge and a file is being sent to the DPP.
