Significant Drop In Overcrowding At UHL

There’s been a significant fall in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital.

The latest INMO figures show 36 people have been left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 16 of those in the emergency department alone.

The overall figure is down from a high of 63 yesterday.

Despite the drop in trolley numbers, University Hospital Limerick remains one of the busiest in the country, on a day when 337 patients have been left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
