Shannon SVP Hits Out At Government For Not Focusing On Cost Of Education In Latest Plans

It’s claimed low-income families in Clare are being forced to choose between feeding their children or educating them because of the rising costs of schooling.

The Shannon branch of Saint Vincent de Paul is expressing disappointment over the Action Plan for Education 2018, which was launched yesterday.

While the Minister stated that he is committed to giving every child an equal opportunity, the Society of St Vincent de Paul has criticised the plan for not placing focus on the costs associated with education.
