Shannon Heritage MD To Depart Role

Shannon Group has confirmed that the Managing Director of Shannon Heritage, Niall O’Callaghan, is leaving the position.

Following a request from Clare FM, Shannon Group has issued a statement to say that he has decided to leave the company in order to take up other opportunities.

He joined Shannon Heritage from the IDA in October of 2017 and Shannon Group CEO Mary Considine has thanked him for his contribution, wishing him well for the future.

In recent weeks, Shannon Heritage has been the focus of intense scrutiny in relation to the decision to curtail operations this summer, with Craggaunowen and Knappogue Castle set to remain shut, and Bunratty Castle only opening from June 29th until the end of August.

Niall O’Callaghan has declined to comment.

Shannon Group has issued the following statement:

Wednesday 24th June 2020: Shannon Group has confirmed that Niall O’Callaghan, Managing Director, Shannon Heritage, has informed the Group of his decision to leave the Company in order to take up other opportunities.

Mr. O’Callaghan joined Shannon Heritage on 2nd October 2017. Commenting on his decision, Mary Considine, CEO, Shannon Group said: “I would like to thank Niall for his contribution to Shannon Heritage and Shannon Group during his tenure as Managing Director of Shannon Heritage and wish him and his family the very best for the future.”
