Shannon Group has welcomed the allocation of over 6 million euro in Government support to Shannon Airport.
It’s part of an 11 million euro funding announcement for regional airports today, by Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Hildegarde Naughton.
The 6.3 million euro in funding for Shannon has been allocated under the Covid-19 Regional State Airports Programme for this year.

In a statement to Clare FM, Shannon Group CEO Mary Considine says the funds will assist us to deliver a range of critical safety and security capital projects, including security equipment upgrades, and airfield rehabilitation works.
Junior Transport Minister Hildegarde Naughton says the state funding is badly needed after a difficult year.
