A Shannon Councillor is calling on the Taoiseach to apologise for putting Clare in the spotlight “for all the wrong reasons”.
Leo Varadkar landed himself in hot water on his US visit last week when he said he contacted the local authority here over concerns that Donald Trump raised about a wind farm near his Doonbeg resort a number of years ago.
He later clarified that it was in fact Fáilte Ireland he made contact with on the issue.
