Shannon Chamber Insists Midwest Still A Competitive Place For Business

The CEO of Shannon Chamber insists the Midwest is still a competitive place to do business.

But Helen Downes is warning that we must not lose the run of ourselves, in the wake of a report released today by the National Competitiveness Council.

The report states that large increases in wages are leading to rent and childcare costs skyrocketing, with a warning this could go even further.

It has also found that Ireland is the fifth most expensive country in the EU, while the cost of doing business here is also on the rise.
