Junior Transport Minister Defends Government’s Track Record On Aviation

The Junior Transport Minister insists that the government is striving for regional balance among Ireland’s airports.

Minister of State Brendan Griffin’s comments come in light of the announcement by Ryanair that it’s pulling three services from Shannon Airport from the beginning of 2020, as well as Dublin’s increasing share of the overall aviation market.

Shannon has argued that it needs targetted funding from government to help develop vital connectivity for the region.
