The Mayor of Clare is calling for a fair distribution of profits from Dublin airport, to support growth in other airports, like Shannon.

Cathal Crowe says a recent report from Copenhagen Economics, commissioned by Limerick Chamber, which states that Dublin is too congested and other airports could benefit from distributing its traffic, is proof alone of what’s needed.

Clare County Council is to write to the government, calling on it to ensure that a new policy is devised to see air traffic in Ireland more equally shared across the airports.
