Clare-Limerick Delegation To Seek Meeting With Ross Over Shannon Concerns

A delegation of councillors from Clare and Limerick is to seek a meeting with the Transport Minister over concerns for the future of Shannon Airport, despite him visiting the airport last week.

Shane Ross visited Bunratty Castle, the Shannon Free Zone and the Airport on the invitation of Clare’s Independent TD and met with Shannon Group management.

Despite cautious optimism from both sides following the meeting, the Mayor of Clare has hit out at Minister Ross for not meeting with local representatives during his tour of the county.

Fianna Fáil’s Cathal Crowe says that’s not good enough and they will not be taking it lying down.
