This Bank Holiday weekend is one of the busiest of the year in our Airports, with 400,000 set to travel through Dublin alone.

However, after a week which saw new passport controls criticised by a number of airlines, travel agents are advising passengers flying through Dublin to arrive THREE hours early.

A spokesperson for Shannon Airport has played down suggestions of potential issues there this weekend.

In a statement to Clare FM, the airport says delays aren’t anticipated this weekend but it is advising passengers to be prepared for issues when they’re returning home.
