Shannon Airport Head Says Clear Message Should Be Sent To Gatwick Drone Copycats

The Head of Operations at Shannon Airport has expressed hope that those responsible for operating a drone near Gatwick Airport are apprehended quickly.

The drone which caused the runway to close, leading to hundreds of flights being cancelled, hasn’t been seen since last night.

Three flights diverted to Shannon yesterday, two of those have since departed the Mid-west facility for the UK and the third will leave shortly.
