Serious Road Safety Concerns Raised At Flannan’s College

It’s claimed a new pedestrian crossing for the pupils of St Flannan’s College in Ennis must urgently be installed, to prevent any more serious accidents in the area.

Two schoolgirls were knocked down when crossing the road in recent weeks, which has prompted the call from Ennis Fine Gael Councillor Mary Howard.

However, in its response the Ennis Municipal District has said that Flannan’s is covered by a separate crossing at Captain Mac’s cross and that an additional one isn’t on the cards for this year.
