A father of one is due to be sentenced later today for holding former Clare football boss Frank Doherty at gunpoint at Galway hotel and stealing nearly 2 thousand euro from the manager.
28 year old David Vallot with an address at Altan Apartments, Western Distributor Road in Galway pleaded guilty at Galway Circuit Court to robbing Frank Doherty of 1 thousand 7 hundred and 68 euro at the Clayton Hotel in Briarhill on February 13th last.
He also pleaded guilty to falsely imprisoning Mr Doherty along with two other members of staff and to having an imitation handgun in his possession with intent to commit a robbery.

Mr Vallot will appear before Galway Circuit Criminal Court later today for sentencing.
