Search And Rescue Helicopters Could Be Grounded Over Strike Action

The country’s life-saving search and rescue helicopter service, including Rescue 115 operated out of Shannon, could become grounded in the coming weeks.

Its after pilots represented by the Irish Airline Pilots’ Association, voted overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action, up to and including a strike.

IALPA claims there are recruitment and retention issues for pilots.
