Scattery Island To Take Six Times As Many Tourists Thanks To New Ferry

Six times as many tourists will soon be able to visit Scattery Island, as a new 70-passenger ferry has been secured for the West Clare attraction.

Scattery Island Tours has put the larger vessel in place thanks to part-funding from the LEADER programme, following significant demand for its services last year.

The firm is just one year in existence and saw visitor growth of over 300% during its tourist season in 2017.
