A heatwave may be on the way, but Clare residents will soon have easier access to winter sun too.
Ryanair has announced that it is extending its Shannon-Alicante service year-round.
Flights will operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, and the development has been welcomed by management at Shannon who say there is a natural demand for the service to operate twelve months a year.

Shannon’s passenger numbers were up by 5% in the first quarter of this year and the Airport is also enjoying its best year in nearly 20 years for transatlantic services also.
