Gardaí are seeking to speak to the parents of a young girl who was hit by a car in Ennis last week.

The girl was walking with another girl at Friar’s Walk, between Clare Road Tyres and Madden’s Furniture on Wednesday last at around 2.30 in the afternoon.

It’s understood she ran out in front of a car and was knocked to the ground, but got up and walked away with the help of her friend.

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Tríona O’Rourke says the girl is not in trouble, they just want to ensure she is okay.
