Gardaí will be patrolling the roads network in Clare throughout this weekend in both marked and unmarked cars, as part of their May Bank Holiday weekend road safety campaign.

They’ll be on the look out for inappropriate speed, distraction driving such as using your mobile phone, drink driving and failure to wear your seatbelt.

Bank holiday weekends are typically high risk periods due to the high volumes of traffic on the roads, with many people setting out on long journeys.
