Gardaí in West Clare are advising motorists to expect delays on the road between Kilrush and Moyasta, due to a broken down machine.
The road had been closed for a time but they have since managed to move the machine slightly, which will allow single lane traffic to pass.
A stop-go system will be in place and it’s not expected to be cleared for a number of hours.
