Rise In Mid West Unemployment Figures In Past Month

There’s been a marginal rise in live register figures in the MidWest in the past month.

22,991 people in Clare, Limerick and North Tipperary claimed some form of unemplyment benefit in the month of July, up just over 1% on June’s figures.

But the latest figures from the CSO show the number of people signing on in the region has dropped by almost 14% since this time last year.
