A retired Clare teacher is expressing concerns that criticisms of teachers may be deterring young people from entering the profession.
It comes after some criticisms of teachers’ unions, in the wake of the decision to no longer prioritise people for the COVID-19 vaccine on the basis of their occupation.
While a number of groups feel aggrieved at that move, a cohort of Morning Focus listeners were critical of teachers when their unions condemned it.
