vResidents in North Clare have been given some relief with the announcement that they no longer need to boil their water supply.
A boil water notice had been in place in the Ballyvaughan Water Supply area since early February, but Clare County Council and the HSE have announced that this notice no longer remains in place.
The notice had applied to all water consumers on the Ballyvaughan Public Water Supply including the following Group Water Schemes, Muckinish, Gleninagh, Gregans, Knocknagrough and Newtown.

The change in status is as a result of the new 5 million euro extension of the Lisdoonvarna Water Supply Scheme to Ballyvaughan.
