Report Reveals ‘Systemic’ Failings In Child Protection System

A new report shows ‘systemic’ failings in our child protection system.

The audit, which looked at the removal of children from their families, found some were returned because there was nowhere for them to go.

It criticises the Gardaí for being poorly trained and says Tusla’s out of hours social work service is inadequate.
