It’s claimed that Clare needs to move with the times and ensure there are enough charging ports for electric cars in the county.
Fine Gael Councillor Mary Howard has requested a report from the ESB about the current plans to repair, maintain and extend the electric car charging points around the county.
Ownership of these ports was given to the ESB in October of last year, which is now responsible for ensuring they are all in working order.
