There are renewed calls in Clare for a shake up of the Post Office network.
Shannon Councillor PJ Ryan’s comments come as An Post has made offers to fourteen post offices in Clare which could result in the voluntary closure of a number of them.
The Irish Postmasters Union have approved the deal from An Post, but it is up to individual operators to accept or reject them.

It’s expected that of the 390 post offices nationally to recieve the offer, around 150 of them will close their doors.
