Remote Working Advocates Welcome New Government Strategy

A Kilkee councillor believes we need to push ahead with plans to prepare for increased levels of remote working after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Workers are to be given the right to request to work from home under the government’s National Remote Work Strategy, which also aims to bring in a legal right to disconnect.

Supporters of the move believe it can provide an economic and societal lifeline to rural areas.
