Current practice for the safeguarding of children in the Killaloe Diocese is to undergo a major review.

The National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland has been invited to conduct an audit of the current practices in the diocese.

It’s the second phase of an overall review; the first having been carried out six years ago, and those living in the diocese who wish to contribute their views are invited to come forward to their local priest to do so.

Bishop of Killaloe Fintan Monahan outlines some of the practices already in place.
