Rabbitte Slams Semi-State Pay

The Communications Minister says it’s ridiculous for board members of semi state bodies to persist in implementing pay packages that aren’t in the wildest dreams of the average person.

Pat Rabbitte made the comments following the decision by the DAA chief Declan Collier to forego his 106 thousand euro bonus for 2010.

The decision was made following Government pressure.

Minister Rabbitte says there are rules set out by the Government about limits on remuneration packages for people in semi state bodies.
