A Quilty widower, who lost his wife seven years ago, is to be ordained as a priest today.
Martin Shanahan entered the seminary in Maynooth in 2015, having lost his wife Mary Margaret in 2011, and has a son Eoin who’s a college student.
He spent many years before his priestly studies volunteering in community groups and church organisations and will now be ordained in Mullagh today.
