Questions are being raised about the follow up of x-rays by the HSE Mid-West amid fears that problems could be overlooked.

Two years since the misdiagnosis scandals in County Clare, the county council is asking the HSE to outline the procedures in place for reading x-rays and cross referencing them with other exams and results to rule out all ailments and conditions.

Shannon Councillor Patricia McCarthy wants clarification on the policy in place in the Mid-West to ensure all possibilities are checked in x-ray exams.
