An Post has confirmed that a new Post Office will open in Ardnacrusha within the coming 6 weeks.
The local branch closed unexpectedly last February, after decades of trading, due to circumstances beyond the control of An Post,.
This meant that pansioners and social welfare recipients from Ardnacrusha, Parteen, Meelick, Clonlara, Westbury and Shannon Banks have had to travel to Bridge Street in Limerick City in the meantime.

A new Post Office is due to open at Barry’s Shop in just over a month, and Mayor of Clare and local Councillor Cathal Crowe believes the announcement will be broadly welcomed.
