Public Meeting To Be Held In Lisdoonvarna Over Direct Provision Centre

Lisdoonvarna Fáilte has expressed fear that a decision on a direct provision centre in the village is already set in stone.

It’s now just five days until the King Thomond Hotel is due to open to asylum seekers, a decision that has caused concern in the local community.

A public meeting will take place tonight, after which locals will vote on a motion to appeal to the owner of the hotel to axe the plans.
