Protest Highlighting Homelessness To Take Place In Ennis

A protest is taking place in Ennis today over the level of homelessness in this county.

Sinn Féin is holding a ‘Housing Day of Action’ at the O’Connell Monument as part of its national campaign highlighting the housing crisis, which calls for stronger action from government ministers to tackle the problem.

According to the most recent Department of Housing report, 80 people were without a roof over their heads in this county at the end of November, while 160 children were homeless across the MidWest region.
