President Higgins has sent his congratulations to the North Clare architect who has been named as one of the joint winners of the industry’s most prestigious prize.
In March, Shelley McNamara from Lisdoonvarna was named as a winner of this year’s Pritzker Prize, along with her Grafton Architects co-founder Yvonne Farrell.
This afternoon, in lieu of the usual awards ceremony, those behind the prize – which is considered the equivalent to a Nobel Prize for architecture – will release a special video dedicated to them both, while acceptance speeches will be delivered remotely.
