Poor Broadband Hampering Job Creation

A West Clare Councillor has called for immediate action to speed up the rollout of high-speed broadband here.

Independent Ian Lynch is one of a number of local representatives who have raised concerns that slow internet connections in many parts of the county are slowing job creation.

The government has committed to a rural broadband scheme to address the problem, but it's likely to be five years before the whole country can expect high speed access.

Councillor Lynch says this needs to become a bigger priority.
