US Vice President Expected To Visit Clare

US vice-president Mike Pence could follow in the footsteps of President Trump and pay a visit to Clare.

But the Department of Foreign Affairs says while, it has had contact with the US administration on the proposed visit, it remains unconfirmed.

Dates in early September are reportedly being looked at by Irish and US officials.

Mr. Pence, who has ancestral links to both Doonbeg and Killaloe, as well as Sligo, was invited to Ireland by the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar in March.
