Tenth Candidate Enters General Election Race In Clare

In Clare, a tenth candidate has entered the race.

Lisdoonvarna based Climate Activist Theresa O’Donohue, who formerly worked with Clare PPN, has announced that she will be running for People Before Profit.

At least one more candidate will be on the ballot paper, with Sinn Fein members select their candidate at a convention in the coming days.

It’s confirmed that the count for the upcoming General Elections in Clare will be held in Ennistymon.

Today marks the first day of the formal general election campaign, which will see voters heading to the polls on February 8th, ahead of the official count at the Falls Hotel the following day.

The election count in 2016 was also held there, but prior to this it had routinely been held in Ennis.

These people have been telling Clare FM that health is the main issue for them in this election.
