Labour TD Refuses To Discuss Clare-Tipp Garda HQ In Dáil Without Justice Representative

Labour TD Alan Kelly has refused to take part in a Dáil debate on the Clare-Tipperary Garda Divisional Headquarters because no Department of Justice representative was present.

The Tipperary TD was on the agenda to raise the fact that the Garda base is to be located in Ennis, a move which ended speculation it could be going to Thurles.

It has caused much angst in Tipperary, with the county’s largest town now over 122km away from their Garda headquarters.
