Clare’s Green Party Councillor insists the voluntary sector has been funding essential services for too long.
Inagh representative Róisín Garvey’s comments come as she has announced that she intends to contest next year’s General Election.
Councillor Garvey secured a seat for the Ennistymon Electoral District in May’s local elections, which was her first time running for a public position.
