Clare Fianna Fáil Councillors Criticise Lack Of Western Voice In New Cabinet

A number of Clare Fianna Fáil Councillors have expressed concern about the lack of a Minister for the West of Ireland in the new government.

Frustration has been expressed by a number of party members about the make-up of the new cabinet, which has no voice from the MidWest, or any county on the Western seaboard from Limerick to Donegal.

Clare Fianna Fáil TD Cathal Crowe has admitted that he would have liked to have seen a Minister from the MidWest, but insists the area will be well-represented.

However, Ennis Fianna Fáil Councillors Clare Colleran Molloy and Mark Nestor are unimpressed at the make-up of cabinet.
