Clare Beef Plan Chair Announces General Election Bid

The Clare Chair of the Beef Plan Movement has announced his intention to run in the next Dáil elections as an Independent candidate.

Quilty farmer Joseph Woulfe says he has had a taste for public life, thanks to his role with the farming group, and is ready to step it up.

He also ran in the Kilrush Local Electoral Area in May’s local elections and despite getting an impressive 1,034 first preference votes, finished sixth in the five-seater area.
